Situated on the banks of the Zambezi River and only 15 kms upstream from the magnificent Victoria Falls, Thorntree River Lodge blends naturally into the riverine vegetation and commands superb river views.
The lodge has 9 stone chalets each beautifully appointed with en-suite facilities. A wide range of activities are available including sunset cruises, game drives, cultural tours, fishing, canoeing and tour to the falls. Adventure lovers can enjoy rafting, kayaking, bungee jumping and scenic flights.
Zambezi Elephant Trails offers a once in a lifetime insight into these gentle giants. Together with this ecologically friendly method of game viewing, a strong emphasis is placed on an elephant experience and guests are encouraged to interact with the elephants. Furthermore, a truly spiritual experience is offered on our island whereby guests have the chance to have lunch with the elephants and for the more adventurous, a gorgeous bushcamp can be set up to spend the night on the sand under the stars...
