The name Augrabies was given to the falls by the Khoikhoi people, meaning hollow place, place of great noise and a rocky waterfall - this aptly describes the falls.
The Augrabies Falls Conference Centre forms part of the main rest camp and is well equipped to host any high powered business or social gathering.
